Penn Dodson focuses on employment law. Prior to joining Timmons, Warnes & Anderson, Dodson worked for various employment law firms in Georgia, Arkansas, Tennessee and California and has handled cases dealing with discrimination, harassment, retaliation, unpaid or underpaid wages, benefits and severance pay, unemployment compensation and contract claims.
Originally from Arkansas, she graduated Magna Cum Laude with honors from Dartmouth College. She earned her Juris Doctorate from the Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco, where she served as an editor for the Hastings Women's Law Journal. She is the 2007 president of the National Employment Lawyers Association, Georgia Affiliate; served as 2005-2006 secretary for the Western Circuit Bar Association; and was a founding board member of the Northeast Georgia Chapter of the Georgia Association of Women Lawyers.
In addition to professional organizations, Dodson has served on the boards of the Samaritan Counseling Center, the Friends of Southeast Clarke Park, as well as vice president of the Kenny Ridge Community Association. She also reads scholarship applications for the Jeanette Rankin Foundation and is a guest lecturer at the University of Georgia.
