Mia So is a Staff Attorney with Timmons, Warnes & Anderson, where she assists lead attorneys with all phases of litigation and case administration.

     A Michigan native, Mia earned her Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Purdue University in 2008.  She graduated Cum Laude from The Maurer School of Law at Indiana University in 2011, and was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in November 2011.   While in law school, Mia served as a Notes & Comments editory for the Indiana Law Journal and volunteered as a Managing Affiliate for the Center for Constitutional Democracy, an advocacy group committed to establshing  constitutional democracies in culturally diverse post-conflict countries such as Burma, Liberia and Vietnam.  Upon graduating, Mia was recognized by  the Access to Justice program for committing to over three hundred hours to pro bono legal services.

     Mia brings a variety of experience to TW&A, including serving as a judicial clerk for a court of jurisdiction and working on high-stakes impact litigation from an internationally renowned civil rights organization.  She also has experience in criminal law, having served as an extern for a busy public defender's office where she represented clients in court and developed trial strategies for clients charged with crimes ranging from DUI to homicide.  Mia joined TW&A as a law clerk in September 2011, and was promoted to Staff Attorney two months later.

     Mia lives in the Athens area with her fiance, Brian, a bioinformaticist and systems administrator for a laboratory in UGA's College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences.   In her spare time, Mia enjoys coooking, reading, and almost anything outdoors.
