Joining TW&A in October 2011, Rachel Grimes focuses on - contract analysis, real property disputes (commercial and residential) and family law (divorce, child custody and support).

     A Winterville native, Rachel graduated from UGA with a B.S. in Biology and a minor in Anthropology.  She received her JD from John Marshall Law School in 2009.  Throughout law school, Rachel worked as an ICU secretary at Athens Regional Medical Center.  Additionally, while in law school, she interned with the Athens-Clarke County District Attorney's office.  WIth close to 200 hours at the office, Rachel had the opportunity to litigate criminal cases in Juvenile Court under the 3rd Year Practice Act.  Post graduation, Rachel opened The Law Office of Rachel G. Grimes.   As a sole practitioner, she represented clients with misdemeanor criminal charges and drafted numerous business contracts.

     Rachel is always up for a great adventure.  She enjoys searching flea markets and antique shops for great vintage finds as well as travelling.  She is married to Matthew Grimes, owner of Classic City Off Road, an Athens business specializing in the restoration of antique four wheel drive vehicles and custom fabrication.  CCOR has been featured in such publications as Southern Distinction and Crawl Magazine.  Together, Rachel and Matt have a "son", cat Buddy and a "daughter", dog Lily, both of whom are rescued animals.
