Christopher Anderson focuses on business law and is knowledgeable in several areas of small business, including veterinary medicine and aviation. In addition, he has prior experience and practices in matters of criminal law, domestic relations and family law. Previously, Christopher worked as an assistant district attorney in New York City and was the associate general counsel and director of Client Services for RealLegal, a legal software firm. Most recently, he served as the senior assistant district attorney for the Western Judicial Circuit in Athens.
A graduate of Cornell University, Christopher received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Georgia School of Law in 1994. Christopher is admitted to practice before all trial and appellate courts in the states of Georgia and New York as well as the United States District Court for the Middle District of Georgia. Other professional associations in which he is involved include the American Veterinary Medicine Law Association and the Lawyer-Pilots Bar Association.
Active in the community, Christopher has been an attorney-coach of the Clarke Central High School Mock Trial Team from 2002 -2004. He also volunteers with Project Safe by assisting clients in receiving protective orders. Christopher contributes his time to Best Friends, a national animal rescue and no-kill shelter that houses otherwise unadoptable pets.
During law school, he earned his pilot's license and is now part owner of Firefly Aviation. Located at the Athens-Clarke Coutny Airport, the company operates a flight school, and maintains, repairs, overhauls, and brokers various aircraft. In addition, he serves as the company's business advisor and general counsel.
Christopher is married to Dr. Rebecca Easler Anderson, who practices emergency veterinary medicine in Gwinnett County. He enjoys flying, snow skiing and diving, and, necessary to all three, traveling.
